It was great to see so many folks from St James at the Ordinations last Sunday at St Mary’s Cathedral, Palmerston Place. Simon Schofield our Curate was ordained Deacon along with Fee Reynolds serving at St Ninians and Eilidh Proudfoot serving at St Paul’s and St George’s. Simon will be with us for the coming year. We pray for him as he settles into this new phase of life and thank God for his presence among us. At the service, Jane preached from 1 Kings 19, challenging us to find spaces for the ‘still small voice’ of God in amongst the noise of everyday life.
